    Kabata Village is a small junction located in the surroundings of Kibale Forest National Park, the most famous Uganda park for chimpanzee trekking safaris, and rich with different primate species. Kabata Village Kibale lies 5km South of Lake Nkuruba by road. This lies between Ndali Safari Lodge, one of the most high end facility in Kibale Forest National park and Lake Lyantode campsite.

    Kabata Village can be accessed from Nkuruba, where two more crater lakes are first glimpsed from about 500m before reaching the village. On the left of the road is Lake Nyinambuga named for its mildly saline water.

    Kabata Village Surroundings and Activities

    Lake Nyinambuga is one of the largest lakes around the area of Kibale Forest National Park enclosed by steep cliffs on which stands Ndali Lodge. On the other side you find Lake Kifuruka, one of the most beautiful lakes in the area, surrounded by riparian forests and covered by in floating waters lilies. The forest holds a troop of primates like black and white colobus monkeys, and birds such as ,the Ross and the great blue turaco, African grey parrot, yellow –billed duck and pygmy goose

    Choose to turn right in to the Buhesi road at Kabata village after about 500m you will see Lake Lyantonde on your right. About 2km further towards Buhesi, the road skirts past lakes Katanda and Mwegenyi. Further along Buhesi road, is the Kabata Cave which is large enough to hold up to 25 people in.

    Kibale Forest National Park is an amazing place that one must visit while in Uganda. One can do chimpanzee habituation experience. Most visitors compliment their visit to this chimpanzee park with an extension to Queen Elizabeth National Park for amazing wildlife safari or Bwindi Forest National Park for a gorilla trekking safari. This is one of the most popular safaris in Uganda.
