Chimpanzee habituation tour involves a full day with a close up with the famous Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park. Your camera will fill up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees trekking experience and you will get to learn to identify them as individuals by their markings. Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala – Kibale National Park:
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile delta to Kibale National Park just below the Rwenzori Mountains. Then enjoy an afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area for outstanding views.
Meals and overnight stay at Kyaninga Lodge (luxury facility), with a stunning location overlooking incredible crater lakes and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon”. Meal plan: L & D

Day 2: Kibale Luxury Chimpanzee Habituation Experience
Today is dedicated for a luxury chimpanzee habituation experience. Start the day with an early morning breakfast and packed lunch before dawn breaks. You’ll first meet your guide for a briefing and then you are off to where the chimpanzees built nests the night before, in the forest. Dawn is just breaking and the chimpanzee community you are going to be with the rest of the day is rising from their sleep in the nests.
Your day will be full so your camera will fill up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees. You will also get a chance to learn to identify as individuals by their markings, sometimes scars and other unique features set them apart from rest.
Besides everything described, there are the most colorful butterflies, plants and trees that will amaze you because the forest setting is simply awesome.

Day 3: Kibale National Park – Kampala
Morning visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary from where you will take on a guided walk around the swamp. This walk will provide you with the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. View a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects. Thereafter drive back to Kampala with lunch enroute. Meal plan B & L end of service
